1) Submit a DMCA Notice (Takedown Request)

If you believe material on or linked through this site infringes your copyright, send a written notice that includes all of the following:

  1. Signature – A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
  2. Work identified – Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or a representative list if multiple works).
  3. Location of the material – The exact URL(s) of the allegedly infringing material to allow us to locate it.
  4. Your contact info – Full name, postal address, telephone number, and email address.

2) Counter-Notice (If Your Content Was Removed)

If your content was removed or disabled and you believe it was due to mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice that includes:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material removed or disabled and the location before removal.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, phone, and email, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts in your district (or, if outside the U.S., any judicial district in which ItsLegit.tech may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the original complainant or their agent.

Send counter-notices to the Designated Agent above. If a valid counter-notice is received, we may restore the material unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed an action seeking a court order.


3) Repeat Infringer Policy

Where appropriate and at our discretion, we may terminate access for users who are deemed repeat infringers.


4) Misrepresentations

Under 17 U.S.C. §512(f), any person who knowingly misrepresents that material or activity is infringing (or removed by mistake) may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees.


5) Removal, Blocking & Restoration

Upon receipt of a valid DMCA Notice, we may remove or disable access to the material and notify the user responsible. When a valid counter-notice is received, we may restore the material unless we receive notice that a legal action has been filed seeking to restrain the user from the allegedly infringing activity.


6) Third-Party Hosts & Links

This site may link to or reference third-party websites, services, or files. We are not responsible for content hosted by third parties. Please send precise URLs where the material appears on ItsLegit.tech.
